C) Will There Be Costumes? Of course! Everyone has an opportunity to have a purchased dance costume, doing or not doing the Recital. This transaction will be made outside of Outschool. Costumes run between $40-$90(Not including shipping). Message Me if you have any questions. *Please note I am not making a profit off of the costumes or recital* If you would like a Costume I must know by Mid April, to place the order in to have it in time for our “NutRocker” December 2021 Recital* Overall, the show and costumes are to give the students a moment to shine and be able to perform. Each child has special talents and this gives them an opportunity to show them off. This Grand Finale event is All About The Kids (in my opinion).

*Please Note some classes will be performing in two numbers and may have separate costumes or extra accessories. You have the option to purchase one costume or both. However, the student must participate in both numbers listed if they are in the recital.

3) How is your class structured? This class will feature 15-20 min of barre and 20 min in the center and 5-10 min of a origin and history of ballet.

4) How will you teach? I will be teaching through a live Zoom class. I encourage all students all students to have their video camera and microphone on, but it is not required after attendance. I will teach by using imagery, as well as breaking down the steps and combination into pieces.

5) What's your teaching style? I believe that Ballet, and all types of dance, can be fun if taught properly. I will teach by using imagery, as well as breaking down the steps and combination into pieces. I love using imagery such as “don’t crush your cereal box” to help with alignment of the torso. I also will be breaking down the steps and combination into pieces. For example: for a Pas de bourrée we will break down to "Back, side, front." In addition, I will also make the classes fun by doing balancing games. I also encourage my students to speak up in my class in they are confused with anything, or they feel that they are ready to be challenged even more, for example if a Pirouette turn is easy then we can add on by making it double Pirouette turn.

6) How much will learners get to interact with you and each other (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)? Throughout the classes we will be interacting as a group by through the use of the games, and the history section of class. In addition, I will interact with each student individual by giving them comments of praise and small corrections to help us grow as a dancer or a class.

7) Any required experience or knowledge learners need? This is an Intermediate Ballet class, therefore: A child should have at least 4-5 years of dance experience. Each child should have mastered a single pirouette, chaine turns, Piqué turns, pas de bora, pas de chat, assemble, grand jete, tour jete, etc. *Please, Note I go more by level than age, therefore if you have a talented young ballerina or an older dancer that wants to brush up on technique, just let me know in advance and I will accept them.

I do recommend each child to have something that can take place as a "Ballet Barre" such as a chair, door knob or door handle or the end/bottom of a banister (If one can not use these items, they can use the center floor). I also recommend having a tennis ball or a ball around the size of it 4-5 inches round object (This item will be used to practice proper hand technique) and a piece of paper and a writing utensil to write down for the history/terminology portion of class. In addition, Students will be participating in a physical fitness/movement activities throughout the class. Please be aware that your child can end up injuring themselves. Therefore please make sure your child has sufficient dance space, proper footwear (choice of ballet shoes or barefoot/socks). I encourage all students to have a water bottle nearby and the student warm up (stretching) before class to avoid injury. Parental supervision is strongly encourage to help your dancer assure there safety and spatial
