This fun & exciting Science Preparatory Camp takes a modified, thematic approach to 4th Grade Science. The students will be introduced to the major themes in 4th grade science. This camp will provide your rising 4th grader with a head start in the upcoming school year. In addition, these concepts will also better equip your child when they take their state test this year. The following topics will be discussed:
Week 1 - Animal Adaptations
 - Animals receive Information through their Senses
Week 2 - Plant Adaptations
Week 3 - Energy Transfer
Week 4 - Heat Transfer
Week 5 - Electricity & Electric currents
Week 6 - Waves
Week 7 - Rock formation
Different modes of instruction will be used. The students will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, lecture, independent reading, and open-ended questions. Students will learn about plant and animal adaptations. This section will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, lecture, independent reading, and open-ended questions. The students require the 3rd grade science course.
