¡Una feliz fiesta de cumpleaños!

In this one time class, students will celebrate a birthday by having a party together with their teacher and classmates. We will sing songs, play games, and do arts and crafts together. This course is designed to teach students basic vocabulary like colours, animals, body parts, and foods through fun and games. It will also give students the opportunity to play and interact with one another while in a learning environment.

We will begin class by introducing ourselves. During introductions each student will be asked to think of an animal that starts with the same letter as their name. This will give us practice using our alphabet and animal words. We will then play Simon Says together, allowing us to practice the vocabulary words: head, shoulders, eyes, knees, nose, mouth and ears. We will also practice the verbs to jump, to stand and to sit. 

We will then draw birthday cupcakes together. This will be lead by the teacher who will give step by step instructions. We will talk about colours, candles, and birthday cakes! We will use the candles we draw to practice counting together. 

Throughout class we will be singing lots of songs together, and having a lot of fun. Students will be encouraged to actively participate through movement and speaking in class. Let's celebrate a birthday together!
