While this class was initially modeled after 'A Semester of Singing' format it was designed with the younger singer in mind. There are a few key differences in this class... ➊ Shorter class length (30 Minutes) ➋ Less emphasis on music literacy ➌ Emphasis on rote teaching and the Kodaly teaching method ➍ Songs are presented in a sing-along style manner 🍏 How I Will Teach: This class offers a balanced approach, alternating between teaching essential singing skills, and practical application through exploring songs from a wide range of musical genres, including Pop, Disney, Rock, Classical, Musical Theater, Country, Jazz, and Reggae. Each class session will begin with light stretching, breathing exercises, and gentle vocal warm-ups. 👩🏼🏫 Teaching Style: As a teacher, I have often been described as "passionate", "caring" and "tech-savvy" by parents, students and administrators alike. While I enjoy creating structured lesson plans, I tend to embrace organic learning moments as they arise and I encourage learners to ask questions and discuss concepts introduced to them throughout the course. 🙋🏽 Learner Interaction: This class class encourages a warm and supportive among its learners, making it an socially enriching and enjoyable experience that extends beyond just learning to sing. 🧠 Required Experience or Knowledge: No prior musical or singing experience; this class is perfect for young voices!
