Hello!! Are you looking for math instruction for your homeschooled learner or to further enrich your child's learning? Or are you looking for math classes that you do not have to plan or stress out about? Welcome to my class!!

My name is Mrs. Engle and I am a certified mathematics teacher. With over 20 years' experience, my goal is to meet your child where they are at and to help them gain confidence along with mastering skills needed. I use to never like math until I had a VERY special teacher who took me by the hand and helped me learn tips and tricks for math. I no longer was stressed out about math and I am forever grateful for her! I want math to be a painless learning experience for your child.

*If at any time your child needs extra assistance on any of our skills, please know I offer tutoring for your child to understand the topics and material that I teach. These sessions will be around 15 minutes and generally take place before or after classes. These sessions are not for your child's other math work from school rather just the topics I cover for the week. Also note that I take classes topic by topic. If you feel the class is too EASY, I offer challenge work for your child as well as offering to move your child to another class if this will help facilitate learning for your child’s needs. Communication is critical so we can all have a fantastic year;)!!

I do not offer your typical report cards, tests, and quizzes. I use several ways to determine if your child understands what is being taught. I do not send letter grades to parents. I grade papers and return them. IF you need more, please let me know and we can discuss this. I do not give out weekly grades, report cards, etc. Likewise, I ask that you, as the parent, make certain to remove all distractions before class begins. This will help the child with learning the skills optimally.

If your child does struggle to understand a topic for the week, please make sure to first go back and re-watch the recording in the classroom. Please make sure that the child looks over all notes that may have been sent in the class for that week, and that they understand those key terms and vocabulary. If after watching the video and studying the notes, they are still struggling, please reach out to me. I’ll offer one to one tutoring as well as a few other possible solutions. I do not want a child to suffer in silence throughout the year and hate math. Please make sure that if any problems or concerns arise that you reach out to me so that I can have the opportunity to have an open conversation with you about your concerns. I will help in any way that I can. As much as I love math, I do not "entertain" students while teaching. Rather, I help them to see math in everyday life and why learning these skills is so important for success.

I am a curriculum writer and have several years' experience in this. Since I have written and developed these curriculums, I do not have one that I buy and teach. I follow all state standards for the year along with getting students ready for the next year. This curriculum can be popped in on if you want just one topic but please know that if you join mid-year, or for one topic that I will do all I can to help them be successful as I do not want them stressed out or upset. Please communicate with me if a need arises and I will do all I can to help:). Let's work together this year for success!!

*Please note that I do NOT offer make-up schedules if your child misses a class; instead, I ask that they watch the video recording. If your child then does not understand the class recording, please reach out. Otherwise, the playback video is what you will need to watch if you are out of class for the day or week. :)
Also, if I am sick, I will offer make-up classes, so no refunds will be given unless I am too sick to teach at all. I always do my best, but I do get sick from time to time😊.

The topics are posted by WEEK. Therefore, if you sign up for an earlier or later date, this just shows you what topic you will learn each week for that month. Please make sure to pay attention to what you were signing up for so that there’s no confusion.

Lessons by the MONTH are:

*August 2024 start date for fall classes. * All classes are subject to change and can be moved and switched around and are not final.
