This is part three of a year long class!! Quarter 3 focuses on the coordinate plane and data analysis!

 This is a complete 6th grade math curriculum that follows the common core standards. Following each live meeting I will send homework assignments for students to complete the following day. I will also provide timely feedback about student homework each week! At the end of each quarter I will provide an open note test for students to complete. I will use discussion, the interactive white board, the chat box, and games to engage the learners in math talk and discussion throughout this year! 

Week 1: Integers (positive and negative numbers), plotting integers on a number line. Ordering integers. Absolute value.

Week 2: What is a rational number? Plot rational numbers on a number line. Order and compare rational numbers. Opposites and absolute value.

Week 3: What is an inequality? Graphing inequalities on a number line. Solving one step inequalities.

Week 4: Area of parallelograms, triangles, and trapezoids!

Week 5: Area of irregular figures, decomposing shapes to find the area!

Week 6: Plotting points in all four quadrants of the coordinate plane! Includes plotting points such as (3.5, -1/4). Naming quadrants

Week 7: Distance in the coordinate plane. Plotting polygons in the coordinate plane. Area and perimeter in the coordinate plane.

Week 8: Review, catch up, extensions!
