Study the childhood of Walt Disney, Albert Einstein, Henry Ford and Thomas Edison to discover how their personalities, character traits and skills were developed as they grew into world-changing icons in American history.

Just like Jedi in the Star Wars Universe, real life kids molded themselves to be leaders that people still admire today!

“It seems by around the age of seven or eight, they each appeared to have developed a particular and unique interest that completely captivated their imaginations. But why? What led them to develop such a strong purpose in their lives?”
-David Butler, author of Children Who Changed the World, pg. 6

We will compare the book, Children Who Changed the World and one book of your choice from the Childhood of Famous Americans series. We will journal about what we’ve read, become experts of a person of your choice, and teach one another. We will share in classroom discussions and final observations.

How can these kids inspire you to find success in your own life?

Reading Jedi is modeled after a challenge I created for my 1st grade public school students during the 2021-2022 school year. It was inspired by my own homeschool kid's love of the Childhood of Famous Americans book series.

I read the book Children Who Changed the World by David Butler and was inspired to add additional depth to comparative study of the historical figures Disney, Einstein, Ford and Edison.
