The 5 Reptiles discussed in this class: Chinese Soft Shelled Turtle Eyelash Viper Saltwater Crocodile Mexican Mole Lizard Minute Leaf Chameleon Each reptile is discussed on two Google slide pages and 5 interesting/necessary facts are shared with students such as: where they live, their weight/size, what makes them unique, and other facts. After learning 5 facts about the reptile, students will be asked which fact they found the most interesting. At the end of the 30-minute class, students will report which reptile from our class was their favorite and why. When ONE of the reptiles received FIVE votes, I create a full-length course on that reptile and replace it in this short class with a NEW reptile. Check back often for changes! Recently removed reptiles: Komodo dragon and Flying Gecko! Full-length courses were made for each of those reptiles as they were "voted" as favorites by previous students. Which reptile will be next? Your learner will join in on the fun and vote for their favorite! Class structure: Introductions, rules, schedule Introduction to new vocabulary Group interaction Direct instruction Question and Answer Summaries can be done verbally or written via the chatbox Visuals, audio, and/or videos My teaching style is fun, engaging, and student-centered. I enjoy adding animations, pictures, audio, videos and tangible examples for students to remain engaged. I encourage and promote class discussion (both verbally and in the chatbox features) No former knowledge is needed for this class as this is a very brief overview of each of the five reptiles featured. Although reptile enthusiasts are absolutely welcomed and encouraged to join our discussion and share what they know with our class!

As stated in my bio, I have taught Biology at the high school level- general education, special education, and AP Biology. I am also certified in elementary education which includes all elementary subject matters and a state exam was completed in all subjects to include science. This course does not go into great detail nor touch on sensitive topics, solely highlights 5 facts about 5 different reptiles in order to peak students’ interest on learning and researching more about these Remarkable Reptiles.
