This class can be used as a stand-alone class, for topic review, or as part of my year-long math curriculum. Each topic is introduced at the top of class so it is just fine to join mid-week or mid session! It is geared toward all math students and supports unique learning styles. Contact me anytime to discuss your student's specific needs. Over two semesters, students will explore a variety of topics, each building upon the previous to ensure a deep understanding of key concepts. We'll move forward at the pace of the learners in the class. This means sometimes moving quicker through content when it comes easily to learners and slowing down when the content is more difficult. Weekly Format: Monday: Live Meeting - Introduction to the week's topic Tuesday: Independent practice, recommended skill exercises, and optional teacher feedback Wednesday: Live Meeting- Lesson, Review of independent work, and further establish the skill of the week Thursday: Review, game, or assessment Class Format: I Do During the Core Lesson, students will watch a short lesson of teacher examples. We Do Students will follow along with the teacher's instructions. You DO Independent practice will be provided for the remainder of the session. Students will continue to practice the skill at either a basic or advanced level, depending upon their performance over the course of the week. Help When a student needs help, resources are available. The student may view instructions and videos that are attached to each lesson, or they may message the teacher. The teacher will provide either a written or video response to assist with the problem. Feedback On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the teacher will check in on the student's progress for the lesson.
