Ciao! 👋🏼 🇮🇹 Join me for an exciting journey to learn Italian in a fun and interactive way. In this 1:1 private Italian language course for young kids, we'll embark on engaging adventures that will spark their curiosity and enthusiasm for the Italian language and culture. Through engaging lessons and playful activities, we'll lay the foundation for a lifelong love of Italian. Our language acquisition method is based on short stories that ranging from 25-50 words or chapter books which we break down using our decoding system. This approach helps your kids understand the language structure without memorizing grammar rules.We believe that language learning can be fun and engaging, and that's why we have developed lovable characters like Salt the Cat, Pepper the Dog, and Sunny the Squirrel to help your kids learn.. WEEKLY CONTENT: Each week, students will complete workbook activities including: - Shadow teacher videos of the story - Build your Italian library: Print Story - Decoding, Drawing it, and Clapping it out in the student booklet - Singing along to our favorite YouTube songs - Playing Word Games & Flashcards - Reading the Full Story in Italian WEEKLY REINFORCEMENT ACTIVITIES: Here are some activities to practice: - Reading and coloring in our Reading Tracker Bookshelf - Playing the Flashcard Game - Listening to the Teacher Video and guessing translations with eyes closed WEEKLY SCHEDULE: Students will show off their weekly progress by completing: - Weekly video submissions with spoken answers to questions of the week - Mini Multiple Choice Quizzes using Google Docs for comprehension Possible stories we'll read are... 💫 The Word Thief [Chapter book] 💫 Under the Sea [Short Story] 💫 At the beach [Short Story] 💫 Bear Camping [Short Story] 💫 Watermelon Seed [Short Story] 💫 In the Garden [Short Story] 💫 Tea Time [Short Story] 💫 The Farmer[Short Story] 💫 ...and more! CLASS POLICY: Please read This class operates on a continuous basis, with Outschool billing families every Sunday for their ongoing weekly enrollments. If your student remains enrolled each week, charges will occur accordingly unless you opt to unenroll your learner before Sunday. Unenrolling your learner from their designated time slot opens it for other families to enroll. Please note that makeup or cancellation of lessons will not be provided since you are reserving this specific time slot. We regret to inform you that we cannot accommodate makeup time for students arriving late to lessons. Per Outschool policy, teachers are not obliged to wait more than 10 minutes past the scheduled starting time. Thank you for your understanding of our policies!

Juliana is a New York-certified teacher with a Masters Degree in secondary education. She has been teaching since 2009, in both public and private schools, language academies, and online, in both group and 1:1 settings. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Italian, and has taught all languages to both children and adults. Her Spanish and French students have ranged from preschool to 8th grade, her Italian students have ranged from preschool to college-level students, and her English-learning students have ranged from young children to adult CEOs. She has also lived internationally in Argentina, Spain, and Italy and is currently learning 4 other languages (ASL, Swedish, Korean, and Japanese). She is a published bilingual children’s book author of the book “Salt and Pepper Language Adventures”, a picture book written in a mix of Italian and English, with more books on the way.
