In this live online 1st grade math class, learners are equipped with common core math skills plus more. Classes feature an interactive learning environment led by an energetic teacher. In class, I will introduce and reinforce math skills appropriate for 1st grade students or younger students needing a challenge. Homeschool parents can use this class to assist with introducing skills or supplement learning. The main categories that will be introduced are as follows: addition and subtraction through 100, place value, comparing numbers, word problems, telling time, interpreting graphs, and more. Students will have an opportunity to engage in class by greeting one another, answering questions, games and show & tell. Students will have an opportunity to practice concepts in class with weekly provided worksheets and engaging in activities.

I have an Associate's degree in Elementary Education. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Fun fact: Mathematics was my my original major in college until Senior year.
