In this ongoing class that meets 1x a week, your child will listen to a different story in each lesson (12 books in each series from The Berenstain Bears, Paw Patrol, Curious George, and Pete the Cat). We will sing songs, trace short vowel or long vowel words, color pictures, and make letters with play-dough to form words that go with the pictures on the worksheet. - Students will learn the short and long vowel sounds in order to form words.
- Students will learn a song that goes with the vowel sound of the day.
- Students will sound out and write the letters to make the words that match the pictures on the worksheet.
- Students will use play-dough to form the letters of the words of the pictures on the worksheet and sound them out.
I have my bachelor's degree in music education and my master's degree in elementary education. I have taught young children in the public and private schools for many years, as well as online for the past 6 years. I love to combine music and reading to make learning fun!

Your child will need play-dough for these classes. They also need to bring a pencil, colored pencils, crayons, and/or markers to class. Please print the pdf file that can be found in the classroom under the comments each week so your child will be able to trace the letters, as well as color the pictures during each class.
