HI!   I’m Judy Gudmestad.  I have been in the field of education for many years.  I began my career as an elementary teacher in a multi-grade classroom.  I thoroughly enjoy interacting with my students and seeing them succeed!  After 14 years in the classroom, I transitioned to homeschooling our 2 children and also taught homeschool classes to other students.  I have tutored one to one with many children of various levels from elementary to high school.  When our 2 children graduated from high school, I opened a family childcare learning center.  This allowed me to continue doing what I love, nurturing and teaching.  I have spent 16 years fostering early childhood growth and love creating relationships with my childcare kids and their families.  
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, an Associates degree in Psychology, and am also a Certified Health Coach and Emotional Wellness Coach.  I love to incorporate holistic learning and positive thinking into my classes.  Teaching, to me, is all about sparking that joy for learning while helping students truly uncover and amplify their potential. Empowering them to embrace their unique talents and abilities is one of my top priorities.
Most of my classes are focused around reading, math, and science in the early elementary grade levels.  I love to connect with students on an individual level and support them through one to one tutoring.  I am excited to welcome young learners into a world of growth, discovery, and empowerment.
In my personal time, I love to hike and go on fun adventures with my husband.  We live in an area that is a great place to see waterfalls and beautiful mountain views.  Taking up close pictures of flowers and objects in nature is one of my fun hobbies.  I also love to cook and enjoy fun family time.
