In this tutoring session I support learners with tutoring and homework help. Tutoring is offered for any math content in grades 1-5. Topics include but are not limited to: addition, subtraction, long division, multiplication with arrays, patterning and graphing, decimals, metric system. 

My teaching style is informal and supportive. I am very encouraging and work to ensure learners are comfortable. I am certified to teach elementary school math and enjoy working with elementary aged learners. 

Learners will interact with me via Outschool's live video function. I use screen sharing for direct instruction and presenting materials when needed. 

Learners can come to me with math work from school, and I will be prepared to support them. At least 24 hours before the class, please send screenshots or photos of your child's schoolwork, or a message indicating the topics they need support with. This is important to do prior to class in order for me to be prepared with materials to support their learning. 

Parents/learners may also email me the topic they would like addressed in our session if we are working on concepts outside of homework from school, and I will be sure to have resources ready. I will prepare lessons and activities to teach the math concept and address any specific concerns. 

We will first work on specific math concerns and assignments brought to the tutoring session by the student. If extra time is remaining, we will work on grade-level review problems.
