Are you looking for something a little more than a writing and/or reading tutor? I am a certified teacher in the United States of America and a homeschool mom. I am a lifelong learner and an avid traveler. I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, Teaching Certification: Preschool-9th-grade, and Master's Degree in Education. We will work together to set goals for your elementary learner, ages 3-12, in my expert areas of reading and/or writing. 

I have extensive training and experience teaching reading and writing. I believe in science-based instruction that incorporates psychology and neuroscience. Children learn best with purposeful instruction that is sequential, positive, and includes educational fun. My learning environment is engaging, safe, and friendly. I recognize areas of strength to increase skills that are not yet mastered. I work with students to increase their confidence as a learner and as an individual. I am enthusiastic and hope to share my love of learning with others. I work with all types of learners. I have experience teaching students that are learning English as a second or third language. I have my special education teaching certification. I am well trained in the areas of dyslexia, ADHD, autism, mental illness, and learning disabilities. Every child is different. Differentiated and individual focused learning is essential for reading and writing success. Each family is different. I will partner with you as we prepare a learning plan and schedule. We will communicate on your child's progress using assessments and observations. Assessments come in many forms including games, reading aloud, discussion, writing samples, and projects.

This section is set for 30 minutes, once a week. I am flexible with timing. Once I meet your child and communicate with you, we will set a regular schedule.
