Explore Animals Around the World! 🌍🦁🐧🐼 In this private tutoring class, we'll go on exciting reading adventures to learn all about animals from different continents! 🗺️ Each week, your child can pick a continent or an animal they'd like to read about, such as camels, coyotes, or penguins. Through engaging passages, we'll explore animal habitats, behaviors, and unique characteristics. What to Expect in Class 📖: Reading Passages: We’ll read about fascinating animals and dive into fun facts that make each one unique. Phonics and Vocabulary Review: For younger readers, we can reinforce phonics through animal-themed texts, enhancing their reading fluency and word recognition. Writing and Spelling Practice: After reading, we’ll tackle activities like spelling lists or sentence corrections to build literacy skills in a relaxed, supportive setting. Grammar and Punctuation: If time allows, we’ll work on simple grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure—perfect for growing young writers! Each session includes PDF resources like word lists, spelling exercises, or a copy of the reading passage to practice at home. These materials are optional but offer a great way to review key concepts from class. How It Works: This class is available Monday to Friday. Please let me know your preferred time and timezone when you enroll. I’m based in PST and offer flexibility to fit your schedule. About My Teaching Style
In my classes, I focus on phonics because I’ve seen how it makes learning to read easier for kids. Over the years, I’ve created hundreds of resources like games, worksheets, and flashcards to support literacy. My goal is to make reading fun and help build strong foundations for all learners.
I hold a Master’s in Education, specializing in Teaching English Literacy and ESL, but my real learning began when I started teaching full-time. That’s when I discovered how important phonics is for reading success. Now, I bring this approach to all my classes!

Why I Love Teaching 1-on-1
One-on-one classes allow each student to share, participate, and learn at their own pace. I truly enjoy helping them engage fully in class. And with Outschool, learning isn’t limited to a classroom—it can happen anywhere! Whether at home, in the car, or at the park our learning isn’t limited to traditional classrooms or school hours. We’re learning all day, every day, wherever we are.

I offer classes Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM (PST) and Saturdays from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM (PST). If you see “No open spots” on a class, don’t worry—there likely are spots!
