There are, however, definite do's and don'ts when it comes to communicating the writer's vision to the art team, which includes the penciler, inker, colorist, and letterer. This class is the one I wish I had when I was starting out. We'll be covering how to break out story beats, and panel-by-panel script format for the action, dialog, and sound...
I've been a professional writer for about 30 years. My comic book scripts have been praised internationally by industry professionals such as Louise Simonson and Ken Lashley, and I was one of 20 finalists out of over 3000 entries in the Stan Lee & MTV comic book story competition, "The Seekers." Two of my comics, "Triune" and "Isaac's Wings" were featured at Comic-Con San Diego for several years.
