Write On! Study Hall - Read & Write (Ages 10-13)

Much like a "study hall" in regular schools, students step in for help with reading and writing. Students who learn differently and struggle with assignments, this is for you.

Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 7
Stop on by my virtual resource center! As an experienced English / History / Literacy / ESL teacher, I want to offer a comfortable place for students who struggle with reading and writing to help them to understand their current assignments, complete homework with help, and develop better literacy skills for their own learning style. My class is small so that I may give as much individualized attention as possible to each student. It works best if parents can send me ahead of time their child's assignment and learning style / differences so that I may be best prepared. Interaction with students is direct; with more than one student in the class I will get everyone started and then give each student my focus for varying intervals.

Each class will start (for approximately 15 to 20 minutes) with a focus on reading comprehension or creative writing skills for students to further develop. The remainder of the class will allow for student work on the academic skill component, or on the student's own pre-submitted assignment / request for which the individual student requires help.

Reading comprehension will alternate each week with creative writing skills.
