Stop on by my virtual resource center! As an experienced English / History / Literacy / ESL teacher, I want to offer a comfortable place for students who struggle with reading and writing to help them to understand their current assignments, complete homework with help, and develop better literacy skills for their own learning style. My class is small so that I may give as much individualized attention as possible to each student. It works best if parents can send me ahead of time their...
Students will improve core reading and writing skills, as well as find what works better for each as a learner, as we navigate the challenges of their assignments.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts (English) and a Bachelor of Education. I have worked as a full-time English / History teacher, as well as a literacy and ESL teacher over my 16+ years of teaching.
Homework expectation: students will use their new understanding / new learning tools to complete their present assignments to the best of their abilities, and apply these skills to future assignments.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No formal assessment in this class.
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
Contact before class with a description of their child's learning style and challenges, the assignment they wish me to help with or the academic skills they wish to see developed further for their child.
