Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
Beginner Level
Did you know you can make a basic paper airplane in seven folds? I will take students through the process, step by step - just how I learned when I was a kid!

In addition to making paper airplanes, we will briefly discuss the science of paper airplane flight, including the four forces that affect a paper airplane's flight. We will also decorate our airplanes (if desired), before and/or after folding them.

Time permitting, we'll experiment with a few minor variations to see what effect they have on the final product. If your student can take this class in a room that allows for paper airplane throwing, that would be great!

This interactive and inclusive class is open to all students. No prior knowledge is required.
***Because making a paper airplane can be tricky, your student may not have fully mastered this skill by the end of class.***
But, we will have fun trying!

If your child already knows how to make a basic paper airplane, they are welcome to come enjoy the social experience of doing so with others in this class. However, we will be learning only one basic design (with minor variations for creativity, as time permits.)

**In order to facilitate discussion, this class will work best if students keep their screens on (at least most of the time.)**
