Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this one time class, the children will learn what animals hatch from eggs. Each child will have opportunities to socialize with their classmates, practice turn taking, and share some of their own knowledge or experiences about this topic throughout this class. They will learn about the different animals and birds that hatch from eggs by viewing real photos of many kinds of animals, colors, and sizes of eggs. At the end of class, we will practice drawing an egg (oval) shape and I will teach them how to turn it into a "chick."

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been teaching for the last 27 years in a variety of settings. I have worked with children 3 to 12 years of age. I have created curriculum for 3-6 year old's, tutored, been a nanny, an assistant director, assistant teacher for early learners in the school district, and taught English (ESL) online. I have a BA in Early Childhood Education and a BA in Psychology. I love to find creative ways for children to learn and have fun! I believe children learn best through a variety of means including: repetition, writing, movement, creativity, socialization, fun, and a positive attitude. If I do not know the answer to a child's question, I will research it and let them know. Knowledge is a powerful tool that can create a spark for future learning and life adventures. I can not wait to have fun teaching and learning from your little ones! See you in the classroom!
