Hi Everyone!

My name is Sonya and I’m a music educator, singer and composition workshop leader living in Maryland.

I teach all age groups from 3 to adult and am currently mostly teaching individual and group voice lessons for teens as well as music composition workshops for kids of any experience level.

I love working on fun projects about all kinds of things such as Japanese Kabuki and Puppet Theater, Unicorns and Rainbows, Our Inner Super Heroes (character strengths and multiple intelligences), Bullet Journaling and as music topics including Musical Sandwiches and Musical Time Machine. Even voice lessons include projects like finding out why a song exists, who wrote it and why.

Fun Sonya fact: Although I live in the US, I was actually born in the UK. My parents were both musicians, prominent in their fields, and I grew up hanging out backstage at concert halls.
