Class Experience
Come experience Decimal Street! Students in this class will be introduced to the concept of place value through story format. The story will focus mostly on what the decimal is, ones place, tens place, and be introduced to the hundreds place. Each child will be given the chance to interact, make predictions, and answer comprehension questions about the story. They will also identify numbers using the ones and tens place. Students will be able to identify a decimal, ones place, and tens place. Students will comprehend place value up to the tens place. Students will be introduced to the hundreds place.
Students can use the place value chart made in class to build, say, and write numbers.
1 file available upon enrollmentA print out of the characters in decimal street, math u see blocks, or base 10 blocks (optional) Whiteboard and dry erase marker (for answering questions throughout the class) A plain piece of paper and pen (for making the place value chart)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
