Description

Class Experience

Students will be able to identify a decimal, ones place, and tens place.  Students will comprehend place value up to the tens place.  Students will be introduced to the hundreds place.
Students can use the place value chart made in class to build, say, and write numbers.  
 1 file available upon enrollment
A print out of the characters in decimal street, math u see blocks, or base 10 blocks (optional) Whiteboard and dry erase marker (for answering questions throughout the class) A plain piece of paper and pen (for making the place value chart)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
informal assessment throughout class. 
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This story was inspired by Demme Learning and the Math U See Curriculum.  They created the Decimal Street concept illustration.  However the clipart, written story, presentation and activities were created by me.
