Learners will be joining an ongoing historical creative writing class, where each week they will be inspired by a different historical era, event or person. Each 50 minute session will begin with a mini history lesson (20-30 mins), exploring images, videos and factual information. This will be followed with a shared creative writing prompt, along with vocabulary and plot suggestions. There will be a period of quiet...
Learners will expand their general knowledge of world history as well as having historical writing prompts.
I am a certified teacher in the UK, and I have taught history and English across the elementary years. I was also employed by the Museum of London for a year, supporting their creative work with local schools.

Learners can upload their writing for more detailed feedback0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Many topics in history involve the discussion of death and injustice. These topics include talks of racism, sexism, and death. They will presented in an age-appropriate way, but discussions may be prompted. I believe that learners have such potential and interest when exploring topics found in history, and that they benefit from having a safe space to reflect on these themes.
