Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been a teacher of animal sciences for 15+ years. I have taught students from preschool up through eighth grade. My family and I own many reptiles, including ball pythons, bearded dragons, leopard geckos, chameleons and turtles. We also breed ball pythons, a type of constricting snake. We are very interested and knowledgeable about venomous snakes, including vipers. I have taken several undergraduate level courses on snake habitat and ecosystems of the world in which snakes are vital. We attend 4 reptile shows every year to interact with various snake breeders and to increase our knowledge. We have visited elementary schools in our area and have presented informational classes on both venomous and non venomous snakes. I am comfortable answering questions and fielding discussion on subjects related to all types of reptiles, including the four snakes we will study in this lesson.
