In this on-going course, Intermediate to Advanced English Language Learners will practice their English conversational skills. I am a certified teacher with an ESL endorsement. I have 11 years of experience working in public schools with children and more than 3 years of online tutoring with English Language Learners. We will have an on-going conversation about topics that are of interest to the students in the class. The first class or two for new learners will be getting to know you: what you like, what your interests are, and goals that you hope to achieve in the class. The next class will be determined and prepared based on topics of interest of the student. Here are some examples of topics that might be of interest to you: books, movies, games, transportation, weather, landforms, science, sports, hunting, math, dinosaurs, animals, pets, career options, etc. I will utilize pictures, google translate, and typing in the chat box to help support the learners while talking about the topic. The topics will include reading, pronunciation, and grammar practice as well. I am willing to adjust this class to your needs, if you want more or less times per week or if you prefer private tutoring.
Learning Goals
Students will gain confidence in their English speaking and listening skills. Students will be motivated to learn English more in-depth because we will be talking about topics that they enjoy. We will practice pronunciation, reading, and grammar throughout the conversation.Other Details

Teaching Philosophy: I enjoy encouraging learners to be involved and engaged through a computer screen with hands-on activities, sharing, getting to know each other, and discussing topics of interest to the learners. I always work to inspire learners to continue their learning after class and to look forward to their next class.
Something Fun About Me:
I love camping, traveling, and the great outdoors. I have been to 41 of the 50 states and visited 37 of our inspiring national parks with a goal to visit all 63 of them someday. My 4 children, ages 9, 7, 4 and a baby, have accompanied my husband and I on many of our adventures. My oldest has Down syndrome, and she brings great joy and purpose to my life in raising awareness and teaching others about Down syndrome, diversity, and differences. I love my chocolate goldendoodle dog, my saltwater fish tank, and fuzzy sea otters!Reviews
