We do not have homework, but I believe that as this becomes a habit, students will continue this as they grow older to benefit themselves and their families.Class Experience
In our ongoing meetings, we cover TODAY'S major business news headlines. This means we discuss stocks, business, investing, markets, economics, finance, tech, and AI. This is live coverage from the most important business news sources, and we dive in and focus. Students learn a lot of important information in a short amount of time. For example, if Elon Musk makes a move, we cover it! Then we explain the impact on that to other businesses. If Microsoft or Johnson & Johnson report earnings, we cover it! Then we discuss and explain how and why a stock moves. When the Fed moves interest rates, we discuss why they did it, and the impact it will have on the economy. My name is Bryan Sloan, and I have a BBA and MBA, as well as having worked in investing banking, committing firm capital to the stock markets. I'm also a real estate investor. I led a daily conference call to a group of thousands of financial advisors covering world markets. I'm here to help students learn today's financial news. As we see new headlines break, we talk about this. I like to use the Socratic method to teach, so I ask students questions so they can have a chance to think critically and explain. I think the earlier we teach students about the markets and business news, the better off they will be in the long run, and they will have an advantage going forward with not only their personal finances, but also their college courses and future careers.
