Students will improve their knowledge of current events including business news, economic events, and new product development. Some topics we will discuss are: corporate profits, analyst recommendations, product innovations, covid19, economic stimulus, and bankruptcy. This is a game and discussion based class so students will gain experience and confidence in discussing their ideas, analyzing information, and developing informed opinions.
I am a certified and tenured Business Education Teacher with expertise in stock market investing and stock analysis. I have taught over 2000 students on Outschool and have outstanding ratings. This course will be the prefect follow up for my Outschool investment students (Beginner, Level 2 and Level 3 students ) and will help keep students active in the stock market. It is also well suited for students interested in discussing and exploring current events in a focused way.
Each week students are asked to share a link to a news article about a company that they are interested in discussing and learning more about.
Access to the Internet
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
We will be using financial websites and news websites to review company and economic news and headlines. Access to the internet is needed.
