We'll read "I'm Not Just A Scribble" by Diane Alber, a story about creativity and kindness. We'll talk about Scribble's feelings, and identify colors, lines and shapes, make our own scribbles, and share the stories of the scribbles we make.

Class Experience

  • Students will listen to a story and ask and answer questions throughout the reading, practice taking turns talking, listening and sharing observations about the colors, shapes and pictures they see. We will also work our fine motor and storytelling skills creating scribbles of our own and exploring the emotions of Scribble in the story as well as the scribbles we make.

A one-page printable is included. Bring paper, markers or crayons to class!
Because of the age of the class I recommend a grown up be within "ear-shot" to help with any technical hiccups (mic and video) that might come up.
