Students will walk away with the ability to answer three major questions: 1) what defines a cave, 2) what are the different types of caves and how do they form, and 3) why are caves so important to science? The ultimate learning goal of my classes will be to inspire learners to wonder about the natural world and pursue a deeper understanding of it. 

I am a Teaching Assistant at the University of Texas at Austin within the Jackson School of Geosciences. While obtaining my Master's Degree in geological sciences, I have taught concepts of Earth Science and Sustainability for the last 2.5 years to learners from second grade through college juniors. I also have years of experience passing along knowledge and training new members of my geological field work teams, conveying clear, critical messages in often high-stress scenarios.
