Welcome to our Earth Science program, an innovative and engaging program designed to ignite a passion for learning about our planet. This course uniquely blends Earth Science with an interdisciplinary approach, integrating language arts, creative arts, geography, and science, to provide a rich, multifaceted educational experience.

Throughout this program, we embark on a weekly journey through the diverse and fascinating world of Earth Science. From the dynamic processes that sculpt our landscapes to the mysteries hidden beneath the Earth's crust, each week presents a new theme for exploration and discovery. Our methodology emphasizes hands-on, experiential learning, encouraging students to engage actively with the material.

Each day is dedicated to a unique aspect, ensuring a deep and well-rounded understanding.

▶ Day 1: Fundamental Overview - We start with an introduction to the chosen Earth Science topic, laying the groundwork with basic concepts, definitions, and an overview of its significance and primary elements.

▶ Day 2: In-Depth Study of Specific Aspects - The focus shifts to a detailed exploration of the topic, where students will learn about various types, characteristics, and key features, providing a thorough understanding of the subject's diverse components.

▶ Day 3: Practical Implications and Case Studies - This session delves into the practical applications of the topic, examining its interactions with other elements of Earth Science and the environment. Real-world examples and case studies may be used to bring these concepts to life.

▶ Day 4: Virtual Field Trip - Each week will culminate in a virtual field trip, offering students an immersive and interactive experience related to the week's theme. These virtual excursions will provide a unique opportunity to explore different geological and environmental settings, enhancing the learning experience.

This course is designed to not only impart knowledge but also to inspire curiosity and responsible action regarding Earth Science topics. It's ideal for students eager to understand the complexities of our planet and their role in its future.

Canva: We utilize Canva to create engaging presentations. These are shared exclusively through the teacher's Zoom screen share for students to view during class. No learner or parent accounts are required. YouTube: Occasionally, we may use Zoom screen sharing to show short, educational YouTube videos that enrich our lessons. These videos will always be relevant to the current block theme (for example, a video of a volcanic eruption during our earth science block). We will remain within the Zoom classroom environment, and no learner or parent accounts are needed.
