The students will do a turkey art project and will complete a writing activity.
I taught second grade for ten years. I did this art project each year with my students. Students love doing this project. It is fun and engaging.
There is no assigned homework. If students do not finish the art project or the writing activity, they may finish it after class. Students are encouraged to share their turkey art project and their writing activity with someone at home.
Students will need the following materials for this art project: - Class handout ( I will provide this in our classroom.) - 1 paper plate - pencil - 2 brown pieces of paper - 2 orange pieces of paper - 1 red piece of paper - 1 yellow piece of paper - 1 green piece of paper - 1 blue piece of paper - Scissors - Glue stick or Glue (A glue stick will be easier to use in this art project.) - Black Sharpie or black marker
