Teacher Mel's Dive Into Reading Day is an exciting opportunity to recreate the magic of a school reading day with your Outschool community. Embark on a literary journey with us, as we meet three times in a single day to delve into the captivating world of books. Between each meeting students will be given time, and encouraged to read independently.  Book choices are at the discretion of the student  but should be age appropriate so they can be easily discussed with the group. 

• During our morning meeting students will engage in lively discussions about our current reads, share beloved book recommendations, and explore essential reading techniques. Students will be given the opportunity to get to know one another and share their reading plans for the day. Teacher Mel will also provide discussion questions that students can answer during the afternoon meeting. 

• In our second meeting of the day students will discover a space to provide updates on their reading progress, exchange insights with peers and the instructor, and participate in a delightful interactive game designed to foster a love for literature.

• As our day of exploration draws to a close in our third meeting, students will partake in reflective discussions, ponder over fun reading related questions, and evaluate their reading experiences. Students will also be able to share their thoughts on whether they would recommend their chosen books to friends.

Please note this class meets three times all within one day. Students are responsible for bringing their own books to read and reading independently between our meetings.
