We will be traveling the 7 wonders of the world (modern). We will take an in depth look at each wonder using photos and video clips. We will also have discussions allow time for questions to make this an interactive class. In the first lesson we will learn about: -The Great Wall of China - Petra - Colosseum - Chichen Itza -Machu Picchu -Taj Mahal -Christ the Redeemer We will learn interesting facts about each wonder as well as view photos and videos, we will learn about the history and culture around these wonders. *This class is designed for group discussions about the places we are learning about. For classes with low enrollments teacher will have discussions with students but class may end early depending on amount of participation.
Learning Goals
Students in this class will learn what the 7 wonders of the world are as well as the history and culture surrounding them.

I have been working with children for over 10 years and have been teaching online for 5 years. I enjoy seeing the excitement in children when they learn new things. I love teaching young children ABC's, colors and counting. I have taught preschool and elementary school age children for the last 6 years. Being able to use an online platform to expand my student reach has been great! I have always had a passion for learning about other countries and cultures. I enjoy teaching History, Geography, Math and English. I have taught several subjects in the past but I have extensive experience in the classroom with reading comprehension as well as history. I like to make history fun by learning about the different cultures and people. I believe in interactive learning by having each child participate in the class. Teaching children new skills to help them develop has been a passion of mine for several years now. I like to use graphics and props in my class to keep children entertained while learning.
A little about me: I am married and have an 11 year old daughter and a German Shepherd dog. We love to travel and camp as a family.
