Description
Class Experience
Students will learn basic improvisational skills. These include developing a crime scene, sharing clues, and solving a mock crime based on the provided clues. Students will also learn to collaborate on the development of a mock crime and related clues.
I have been trained in improv and comedy writing. I have taught improv to students at a local theater and in my own classroom.
There is no homework assigned.
Students do not need any materials for this class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Assessment is informal, and is completed via a short class discussion, in which students share what they learned and what they enjoyed.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The lesson content is appropriate for students ages 9-12.
I am using using my own knowledge of improv. There are no additional source materials.
