In this ongoing club students will be taught reading skills needed to become proficient readers and guided through reading short stories aloud.
Class Experience
In this club we will focus on reading skills, reading comprehension and vocabulary. We will meet once a week. Each week's theme will be learner directed based on student interests and needs however each week will follow the following format. We will introduce the book of the week and go over reading strategies and vocabulary words. I will share the book via a document camera and we will take turns reading aloud from it. For our read alouds, we will be reading nonfiction and fiction books. To review our content, we will use Kahoot. Learners do not need an account to participate.
