4+ hours per week. I expect the students to at least put in a little bit of time into their projects every day. Parents/Family should not remind them to work on their games, they should drive themselves. Instilling a sense of discipline into them is one of my goals.Progress Report
I'll be giving regular progress reports detailing what the student has achieved, what they're working on, struggle points, etc.Class Experience
US Grade 5 - 8
Beginner - Advanced Level
In this small-group mentorship, students will create their own games using Roblox Studio while also exploring 3D modeling and animation in Blender, community management, and business skills. The course is divided into three phases: Conceptualization: We start with planning and brainstorming the game. Students will detail every aspect of their game idea—from storylines to gameplay mechanics. In the first session, I’ll talk with each student individually to understand their goals and help them build a roadmap for their project. Production: Once the plan is set, students jump into the fun part: building their games. Here, we focus on hands-on work. Students will learn key technical skills like scripting in Lua, creating 3D models, and designing interactive game mechanics. I’ll explain concepts as they encounter them, and students will immediately apply what they learn to their projects. I emphasize learning by doing, and while I’m always there to provide guidance and support, students will take charge of their work and solve problems on their own. Collaboration is strongly encouraged—students can learn from each other’s successes and challenges and work together to overcome obstacles. Publishing, Maintenance, & Growth: Once the game is built, we’ll shift focus to launching and maintaining the game. Students will learn how to market their game, manage communities, and understand the business side of game development, including pricing, updates, and growth. This phase ensures students understand not just how to create, but how to sustain and grow their games in a competitive industry. Teaching Style & Flow Hands-On & Mentorship-Focused: My teaching style is highly interactive and hands-on. I believe the best way to learn is through real projects. I’ll be guiding students as they apply new skills, solve problems, and tackle challenges, but I’m not here to lecture or overwhelm them with abstract concepts. Instead, students learn by doing, and I step in when they need guidance to keep them on track. No Sugarcoating & Real-World Focus: I’m straightforward and realistic with my students. I’ll be clear about the challenges and hard work involved in game development. My goal is to give them the tools and mindset to approach development like a real professional—ready to handle what the industry throws at them. Collaborative & Student-Centered: This mentorship thrives on collaboration—students are encouraged to share knowledge, ask questions, and work together. Whether they’re teaming up on certain parts of the project or learning from each other’s challenges, this peer-to-peer learning helps everyone grow faster and builds a sense of community. At the same time, each student will work on their own project, with the flexibility to learn at their own pace and dive into what interests them most. Interactive & Practical: Expect dynamic, engaging sessions where students are actively building, researching, and testing their games. I’ll be there to offer feedback and explain key concepts when necessary, but students are encouraged to solve problems and apply what they’ve learned in real-time. By the end of this mentorship, students will have not only learned to code and design but also developed the problem-solving, business, and leadership skills necessary to be a game developer, business professional, and community leader. They’ll be ready to build and manage their own games, just like a professional in the industry. Parents are encouraged to observe the first session so they can see firsthand how I teach, how applied and realistic the learning process is, and how I guide students toward a professional level as quickly as possible.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I bring a wealth of practical experience to my classes, having shipped two games in Roblox and worked on three shipped games with AAA companies. Additionally, I’ve contributed to three live products, both B2B and B2C, giving me firsthand knowledge of real-world game development, business applications, and live service maintenance.
In addition to my industry experience, I’ve spent the past 10 years teaching in a variety of settings, including schools, tutoring centers, and gyms. This extensive experience working with children of all ages has helped me develop a teaching style that emphasizes hands-on learning, mentorship, and independence. I understand the importance of tailoring lessons to each student’s needs, helping them build both technical skills and confidence in their abilities.
Whether it’s developing games, learning coding, or understanding the ins and outs of live products, my goal is to provide students with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in the real world.
