In this beginning reading class we will play bingo to encourage children to read CVC words.
Class experience
In this beginning reading practice class, students will play the game of Bingo to review three letter words in the consonant /vowel/consonant format. We will sound out all words before playing Bingo and the Bingo cards will have sixteen boxes instead of 25 to make the game easier for younger children. This is a slow paced class for children who are able to sound out short vowel words and know their consonant and short vowel sounds. It is the perfect class for children entering kindergarten or...
Students will learn and practice simple consonant/vowel/consonant words.
Learners will need heavy markers paper squares move easily and are not recommended) to cover the words while we play bingo. Another option is to print additional cards and allow them to mark directly on the card. Please go to the classroom to print the card(s) prior to class.
