Class Experience

Students will improve their reading and spelling ability of words with vowel teams.
I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and 16 years of experience teaching a variety of ages and subjects, including reading and writing. I have completed the Reading Simplified Academy Training provided by Reading
Children succeed faster with reading when they get their eyes on more printed words. Each week the learners will be given a new guided reading text to print out. They will need to practice reading the printou aloud to a parent during the week. Along with the guided reading text the parents will need to read aloud a story to their child. An online activity to support the phonics covered in class may also be assigned. This homework will only take about 15 minutes each day.
-dry erase white board -dry erase markers -dry erase eraser -pencils -weekly printouts (provided in the classroom the Sunday before the week begins)
Learners will be assessed as they read words and passages during class to the teacher.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Printouts come from Reading Simplified
Phonemic Awareness exercises come from Haggerty Curriculum
