In this thorough class, students will learn all of the tools in the app, Procreate. This is an amazing drawing and animation app that is very inexpensive. If your child loves to draw and wants to learn how to use this app on an iPad, then this class will help them feel more comfortable doing basic drawing techniques, why we use the tools and when to use them. This is an extremely powerful drawing, painting, and animation tool. The animation tools mimic the stle of cel animation that Disney animators used. Basics of drawing will include: settings gestures brushes drawing basic shapes in one continuous motion layers drawing straight lines drawing perfect circles saving files special effects Basics of animation will include: onion skinning frames time-lapse making simple animation timing using layers grids editing grids terms
Learning Goals
Students will learn the basics of Procreate, an easy and intuitive drawing and animation app. By the end of class, they will be familiar with all of the tools, brushes, and the entire dashboard. We will also cover basics of animation.Other Details
Parental Guidance
The Procreate app will be needed for this class and can be downloaded/purchased on the App Store for iOS devices or Google Play for Android devices. No account registration will be needed.

I’m a career graphic artist with more than 30 years experience. I would love to teach your child to appreciate the arts with paper and digital tools. My specialty is animation, publishing books, and writing. I'm a highly-rated teacher who loves teaching children to make their dreams come true.
