Class Experience
In this ongoing class, students will work with the teacher to solve fun math word problems. They will practice reading, listening, and speaking English in a fun and practical way. It will take one class to assess the learner to get to know their English and mathematical abilities. Parents are welcome to send me a message to let me know more about their learner and goals. Once I know the learner, I can tailor future lessons to meet their level and goals. I am very flexible and happy to help your learner however I can. If you want to add a little writing or some phonics to the lessons, just let me know. I am comfortable teaching learners from ages three to ten. I have a degree in Childhood Education with Inclusion (teaching learners with special needs) and a concentration in Spanish. I have taught first grade in public school and have been teaching ESL and other classes online for over five years. I have taught many ESL classes to children who speak Spanish as a first language and children who speak Chinese as a first language. Feel free to contact me with special requests.

Hi there! My name is Ms. Amanda and I am an experienced online teacher with a background in childhood education and Spanish. After graduating from the State University of New York at Fredonia, I taught first grade in Arizona for two years before moving to North Carolina to open a business with my husband. In North Carolina, I taught GED and ESL classes at a community college and first grade for two more years.
Despite my love for teaching in the traditional classroom setting, once my son was born, I decided to stay home and pursue my passion for teaching online. Since then, I have been staying at home with my two young children while teaching online classes with OutSchool and teaching ESL classes to children in China. I also worked as a content producer for a children's literacy app.
I have a passion for helping children learn how to read, which is a crucial foundation for lifelong learning. As an educator, I believe in instilling a growth mindset in my students, where they are encouraged to embrace challenges, learn from their mistakes, and ultimately reach their full potential. I look forward to working with your child to help them develop their skills and build their confidence in the classroom and beyond.Reviews
