Assessment is fully optional. If the family wishes for the learner's work to be evaluated, they can submit a copy of the finished product for an informal evaluation. However this course is strictly for fun and students will share their work in progress with their teachers and peers during class time.Class Experience
In this one day course, students will learn about the descriptive skills that go into character creation. They will plan, illustrate and write a Pokemon card with a template provided by the teacher. Students will follow along with the teacher's presentation as they fill out their template and plan their brief writing piece along with their peers. They will create a creature from the popular game unique to their own imagination. Elementary age to early middle students will gain the most from this course's difficulty level. Students should be able to read and write at a basic second grade level for this course to be full effective.

Supply List
Students will need to print teacher provided worksheets prior to class. They will also need pencils, crayons or markers and a great big imagination!
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
