Student will learn about the theory of Pangaea. They will learn about the continental drift including who discovered it and the evidence that supports it. Students will learn about the 15 major tectonic plates. We will discuss cartographers & geologists. Students will learn about the deep rifts and the theory of seafloor spreading. Students will see a visual about seafloor spreading for students to gain the understanding of what happens. This class will include slides, discussion, interactive map and demonstration for seafloor spreading. Students will participate in a quizziz game to see how much they retained from the lesson. No prior knowledge is necessary.
Learning Goals
Students will know what Pangaea is and how they came to this theory.
Students will be able to identify the different major tectonic plates.
Students will have the understanding of seafloor spreading.Other Details
