Painting Without a Purpose: Abstract Ongoing Art Class for Beginners

Abstract art is "art that does not attempt to represent external reality, but seeks to achieve its effect using shapes, forms, colors, and textures." That's what we will hope to achieve each week in this ongoing class. When people think of art they most likely think of canvas, paint brush, paint, markers, pencils. They think of realistic beautiful paintings that require talent and precision to create these masterpieces.
In this class we will have a new abstract approach each week that will use tools like string, marbles, pour painting, leaves, etc. And the art we will make with these tools will not be anything specific, each learner can explore and create their own artwork. I will post weekly in the class page what we will need for next week's class so you can plan in advance. These objects will be mostly common household items/craft items.
*In my art/craft classes no experience is necessary. I let learners know that each of us are unique artists therefore our art will not look identical. I encourage individual style and that we can embrace our art even if there are imperfections.*

**Please feel free to send a date/time request for a class you're interested in. I do schedule out classes in advance but I am flexible to switch that around if there are no conflicting enrollments.**
