Description

Class Experience

In this class, students will learn to mix colors and apply their knowledge to creating a still life, an animal portrait, a landscape, an underwater scene, and a place from their imagination. Throughout the class, I will demonstrate color mixing on my easel, and ask students to hold up their artwork to check how their projects are going.

Students will improve their understanding of the possibilities of color, and learn to create rich and colorful artworks even if their art supplies have a limited assortment.

To finish drawings, if they didn't finish them in class, and share them next day.

Students will need plain white paper - sketch paper or copy paper will be fine, a pencil, an eraser, one choice of color materials - crayons, coloring pencils or watercolor paint would be best for this project. If choosing to use paint, please make sure you have heavier paper for painting.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I will be checking throughout the class to see if students understand the concepts and are following instructions. I will be asking them to take turns holding up their artwork to see how they are doing.

4 hours 10 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
