By the end of Part 1 of this class, students will have a good understanding of high/low notes on the piano and on the staff, all white keys on the piano, a good understanding of rhythm values and will begin to understand reading intervallically on the Grand Staff. Students will also be able to play primo and secondo versions of 12 pieces.
📖 Piano Launchpad Piano Book - PDF will be provided. Please print out at the beginning of the semester. In addition to the piano book, please have the following within arms reach for each class: ✏️ Pencil / Eraser 🖍 Coloured pencils or crayons for marking up pieces 🎲 Dice for playing games
Observation during class and informal performances. Students also have the option to send in videos for feedback.
