Class Experience

Mix media artworks are fun and perfect for young artists because they can enjoy combining the use of different art mediums and also learning the qualities of each of them.

In this One-time class, we will create a beautiful winter landscape. Learners will first be led through an easy-to-follow, step-by-step demonstration. We will start by looking at some visuals and learning the basic concept of perspective in landscape pictures. Then learners will sketch out a simple drawing on their picture. We will have a quick experiment section to understand the characteristics of water-resist and washable materials; then utilize the skills in the final artwork. At the end of the section, students will be encouraged to share their artwork with the class; so they can learn from each other and celebrate their success.

The topics that will be learned in this class:
*simple perspective in art (Foreground, middle-ground, background)
*water-resist vs washable materials
*blending colours to create a gradient
*experiment with different art mediums; risk-taking and decision-making in the creative process.
*develop self-confidence in their unique creativity.
*Students can develop their unique style.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am an art teacher working with preschoolers and elementary children, hosting art workshops that range from drawing and painting to exploring famous artists. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Design from Canada and completed a practical course in Teaching Art in Primary Schools in Hong Kong. My teaching experience spans various art centers and an international school.

Inspired by Picasso's famous quote, “Every child is an artist,” I believe every child has talent in art and just needs encouragement to keep exploring and trying. As a self-described “kidult,” I also enjoy cartoons, manga, and pursuing illustration and embroidery as personal hobbies. There are so many possibilities in my classes—join me for a creative and fun experience!

**Sorry, that I am currently on a break for some personal projects. Please send me a message for any inquiry. Thank you!**
