This is an advanced class for students who are proficient readers and learners.
Flex Courses are designed to give the students the chance to learn at their own pace while giving parents the ability to meet their busy schedules These are not live classes to provide for the amount of extensive reading and work associated with the classes.
Lessons include:
* Anatomy of the parts of the brain associated with common mental disorders
* The connection between neurotransmitters and...Students will improve their understanding of:
* the parts of the brain related to each of the most common mental illness.
* the hormonal imbalances related to these disorders.
* foods that contain the vitamins and minerals that studies have shown to reduce the imbalances.
* exercises that have been proven to heal the brain.
Homework Offered
Students will be completing short assignments during and after the lessons that simply promote retention and discussion.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will be assessed regarding the completion of the assignments. Students who complete and turn in the assignments work will be given a certificate of achievement.Grades Offered
