Math Foundations: Subtraction With Regrouping

I’m a recently retired certified teacher with over 20 years of experience working with children in both classroom and online settings. I love helping kids feel confident, connected, and excited about learning—especially in those early school years.

For three years, I taught full-class social skills lessons to students in grades K–5 in a public school setting. These lessons focused on emotional awareness, teamwork, communication, conflict resolution, and building positive peer relationships. Creating a supportive and respectful classroom environment was always a top priority for me.

I also enjoy teaching math and reading to students in grades K–5, bringing a patient, encouraging, and fun approach that helps young learners feel successful. Over the years, I’ve led a variety of enrichment classes for children ages 5 to 13, including drama, chess, and hands-on activities. I’ve also served as a children’s church teacher for more than 20 years, working with kids ages 6 to 11.

In my free time, I enjoy playing board games, watching game shows, walking, cooking, and hunting for treasures at yard sales.
