About Me
Welcome! I’m passionate about bringing the joy of dance to students of all ages. I specialize in teaching preschoolers, beginners, and intermediate ballet using the Vaganova method.
My Background
I graduated from the prestigious “Young Muscovites” dance school in Moscow, where I was fortunate to train under renowned instructors from the Bolshoi Ballet and other esteemed dance companies like Moiseev Ballet and Beryozka. After two years as a professional dancer with the Moscow State Circus Ballet, I pursued a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Moscow University, where I co-founded and coached the university’s dance group. I directed performances like “The Little Prince” and “Don Quixote,” nurturing my love for teaching.
In 1990, I relocated to the USA, where I discovered a vibrant dance community that allowed me to further refine my skills. My experience includes developing unique program for very young dancers, inclusive dance programs for students with special needs and creating classes for bilingual children.
When the world faced the challenges of COVID-19 in 2019, I pivoted to online teaching through the Outschool platform. Over the past four years, I've had the pleasure of guiding students from around the globe, helping them enhance their ballet skills and prepare for auditions—all from the comfort of their homes. My unique “Ballet Gymnastics” class, not commonly found in traditional schools, has empowered many students to excel
With generous permission of authors I am using the following music:
1. Songs written by Hap Palmer (great for various skills development)
2. Ballet class music performed by Jon Sarta, Nathan Fifield, Christopher Hobson
3. KIMBO EDUCATIONAL; songs from Rock 'N Roll Fitness Fun CD and All Time Favorite Dances
MY REFUND POLICY: I follow the Moderate Refund Policy. Once a month I can process a refund based on the special circumstances. I do offer dance classes which can be taken to make up for missed class: Character Dance, Floor Barre. There is an Outschool Happiness Guaranty program which families can address in certain cases.
Although my required amount of students for class is 2-3 students, I often run class for one. If you are considering to take my class, please introduce it to your friends and family.
Some students like to dress up for my classes. However, please make sure that kids wear clothing that is comfortable for exercise. Wearing many layered clothes like a ballroom dress may be challenging for children.
My ability to help with technical difficulties is limited especially once the class has started. If you are having challenges, please refer to the Helpline option "Cannot access the class."
