Through the use of guided illustrations, children will learn about a different life cycle each week. We start the class by discussing the theme and the children's knowledge of the theme, then the teacher will share some interesting facts. Together the class will create a drawing that shows each stage of the life cycle, finishing by labelling each stage and discussing what happens during the stage and throughout the life cycle. Children will develop an understanding that plants, animals, insects and non-living things in nature go through changes as they grow older. Students will build language as they learn the correct vocabulary terms and important facts for each phase of the life cycle they are studying. This class is designed to inspire awe, curiosity, and connectivity with the natural world. Each week the you will receive a beautiful nature journal workbook for each theme. Within the journal there are pages on science, language arts, math and creative arts. It also includes the labels needed in class. This is a complimentary journal for the children to use at home as they wish.
